Denmark is geographically, one of Europe´s smallest countries, located between Germany and Sweden and made up of the Jutland peninsula and 407 islands, with 72 of them inhabited. This Scandinavian Kingdom also includes the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Denmark is surrounded by sea to the west, north and east.
The danish royal family is the oldest still ruling royalty in the world.
The largest and best known island is Zealand, home to the capital, Copenhagen. Denmark lies between 58° latitude north and 8° and 15° longitude west, dividing two oceans, the North sea and the Baltic. Denmark is in many ways a link between North and South Europe due to it´s geographical position and is today connected by bridge, the Ørsesundsbruen, to Malmö, Sweden.
Through history, the Danish kingdom has been much larger than it is today, at one time reaching as far as we today know as Hamburg, Germany.

Out of the roughly 5,5 million living in Denmark, 1,8 million are residents of the Copenhagen metropolitan area.
Copenhagen is a wonderful, intimate, modern and at the same time international city that has great things to offer it´s visitors. From it´s numerous parks, sandy beaches and the metropolitan feel of the city center, this city is so dynamic, it´s hard to match. Add to it the relaxed way of the locals and you have got one of Europe's best capitals to visit.
