Taxis are widely available in Copenhagen as in all major cities. They are easily recognizable from their yellow or green “Taxi” sign on the top. The standard of the Danish taxi fleet is high and not uncommon for taxi operators to use Mercedes or similar quality cars.

If you need a taxi from the airport you will find taxis waiting outside the arrival hall. You might encounter a short wait for a taxi but the lines move quickly.

From the airport to the city center you can expect to pay at least 120 Danish kroner (Dkk) and the drive should take just under 15 minutes.

In and around the city center you can get a taxi at a pre designated places. They usually gather around squares and major attractions such as Rådhuspladsen, Nyhavn, etc. Taxis may also be ordered to a hotel, restaurant or any other address via phone.
